Thank you for your interest in Asian Brush Painting. I enjoyed speaking with you at the Nov. Aston Mills Art Exhibit.
I'm looking forward to seeing you again.

What to expect:
This workshop exploring Asian Brush Painting will start with an instructor demonstration and a little background history.  Then, you will get to try your hand at this ancient art form. We will learn how to grind an inkstick to produce the black ink used in traditional images and how to use just one bamboo brush to create the thinnest and thickest lines in your art work. Then, following another brief demonstration, we will create  a colorful image using Chinese watercolors and Sumi inks. We will adapt ancient techniques, which are meditative as well as artistic. All supplies needed for the workshop will be provided. No artistic background in necessary. All are welcome. (Min. age 18 yrs.)
